Walker County head coach John Holladay is on administrative leave after engaging in a fistfight with Cullman County defensive coordinator Matt Hopper Friday night.
And Walker County head coach John Holladay is now on administrative leave.
Looking at the bottom right hand section of the shot of the full video (see video player above) you’ll see who appears to be Cullman Defensive Coordinator Matt Hopper, wearing black, moving toward Walker’s head coach John Holladay, who appears to throw the first punch.
As the camera zooms, the two go down to the ground and Hopper appears to get Holladay in a headlock.
Players, fans and other coaches flock to the scene where police finally break things up.
The Alabama High School Athletic Association is investigating, but won’t comment on the situation until the investigation has been completed.
The AHSAA has regular meetings scheduled for tomorrow, but they won’t say if they’ll talk about the fight.
Emails and calls to administrative officials for each school were not returned.
